Use Instructions

First use

1 Verify sling has been produced according to purchase order
2 Verify if manufacturer’s certificate has been released
3 Verify if certificate sling informations (markings, identification, capacity) are correct
4 Verify if full slings details are recorded on special book

Before every use:


1) Check sling condition before every use
2) Check chain legs are not twisted
3) Check the load is on the hook center and not on the tip
4) Determine mass, load center of gravity and load typology
5) Verify absence of chemicalsubstance and or high temperature on lifting area
6) Verify sling eventual abrasion, cuts, frailments


1) Refrain from sling self repairing
2) Do not overload sling more than max capacity
3) Do not load with angle factor on top more than 120°. Angle factor on top within 90° is suggested
4) Do not shock load
5) Do not shorten chains by knotting them
6) Do not use webbing sling where eye opening angle exceeds 20%
7) Do not use polyester sling out of temperature range between –40°+100° C

Inspections and maintenance

When substitute slings
1) When sling has a UV risk
2) When identification tags are illegible
3) A thorough examination should be carried out by a competent person with intervals not exceeding twelve months

Selective resistance to chemical agents

1) Polyester (PES) resists to all mineral acids excepts alkali
2) Polyamide (PA)resists to alkali effects but fear mineral acids
3) Polypropilene (PP)lightly fears mineral acids and alkals but it can be damaged in applications where high resistance to chemical agents is required.
Defected slings must be immediatedly discarded and examined by a competent person.
